Hmmmm....$3611?

This doesn't bode well for this 75th anny 4003 with a BIN of $4499! http://cgi.ebay.com/2007-Rickenbacker-4 ... 5ad9d51faf

Oh, but wait...it is "from a collection," so maybe!

I don't play bass, but this is a good investment for whoever got it! Wonderful colour! :D

I'm surprised about the (low?) final selling price, though!

Will this investement really pay off? Do "one-off's" from the past have premium prices now?

I'm not. It is not selling time at the moment. Even my own 4003S does not get a good price at the moment while it is the only Rickenbacker bass available on the biggest 2ndhand site in the Netherlands.

The headstock is still the "problem" for these basses. The vast majority of traditionalists have never been sold on it, and that is going to affect prices.

some one is a lucky new owner!! I love that color scheme but I just can't help thinking they should call it "bruise-burst"

I'm guessing that, since nobody has come forward and admitted getting it, it may have gone to someone off forum. Of course, perhaps they are just awaiting its arrival before letting anyone know...

The buyer doesn't have anywhere near the number of transactions as Olivia's, so unless they are buying under a different account, Olivia's didn't buy it...
