Petty-Tench songwriting question

On "Super Hits" by Rosanne Cash, there's a really great song called "Never Be You" that was written by Tom Petty and Benmont Tench. First, are there other examples of them writing together and second, does anyone know the history of how this song came to be written and then passed on to Rosanne Cash?
As long as I'm asking, does anyone know how to play it?

TP and Ben wrote a song that is currently available on "Live Anthology" called "Melinda", a Johnny Cash-style of song. From what's been inferred, Petty wrote the lyrics and a few of the chords for the verses, while Ben wrote everything else.
