Dead easy John. Lightly sand the corners of the HB-1 until the cover fits, albeit very snugly. I have successfully converted 3 now.

Hey, that
does sound easy! I just popped the chrome surround off and it sure looks straightforward enough. Just ordered a toaster cover from sunny Lindenwold, NJ, so I should have it on by early next week.
Thanks Brian.

Talk about a sleeper guitar! Imagine jumping from "You Can't Do That" to "Over the Mountain" at a gig.

Hey Brian, still having some trouble with this. Am I supposed to me removing the black plastic tolex-looking piece from the pickup, or does the toaster cover go right over it? Where exactly did you sand on yours?

John they are a tight fit. Sand the corners very lightly until the cover can be pressed over the black covering. Don't remove the covering.
