60's Connecticut garage bands - Detroit Soul

Hmm, I should have been thinking last-in, first-out when I posted these. This band is actually a white soul group from the Hartford area, that had a minor local hit with this song. The reason I included it was the similarity this band had to a Chicago based white soul band from about the same time: The Buckinghams.

Yup. I think it was Herb Jeffries' Music Town, which was a music store in
West Hartford. He had a record press in the basement and probably pressed
them himself. My friends and I shopped around the corner at LaSalle Music,
which usually had hipper stuff and better prices. Want a deal? Talk to Jeff
