Hi gang, how do I know what my pots are? They are stamped 07341 0503. The big orange things are marked SBE715P600V 473J 0443. (I'm putting the original pu's back in the 4002 btw) thanks, j

if you take them out of circuit you can measure them with multimeter ...but
07432 are 250k
07431 are 500k
if you look @ schematics on ric corp web it looks like both are there...

What are these post from? Are you sure those are all the numbers on the pots? Is there a possibility some numbers are covered by solder? The number 07341 doesn't really fit most source codes I've seen, at least for older stuff. The codes usually have a 3 digit manufacturer code followed be a 3 digit (40s & 50s) or 4 digit date code. The 0503 looks like it might be the pot value, which would be 50k for 0503. Some of the newer pots have different codes these days.
The "big orange things" are capacitors. A "715P600V 473J" is a 0.047uF +/-5% polypropylene capacitor rated for 600V, commonly known as an "Orange Drop" cap.
Pictures might help too...

Why not just measure them when they are out of the circuit?

Dang. I now have TWO pairs of pickups with a wire missing. We accidentally popped out the red wire on the good treble pickup.
