Ruben: Thanks for this great instruction. This is the best four minutes I have spent learning something new about guitar in some time. A nice technique that when polished is surely to come in handy and to impress.

As always I would like to thank you maestro Peter, for your great sensibility and openness to share about guitar, in fact this arpeggios everyone is enjoying with them a lot and today, I was listening to this interesting documentary of Segovia http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jr6sBMpN ... re=related
In minute 6.23 he says that every instrument of the orchestra is inside the guitar,
and I remember that the arpeggios came from Arp instrument actually, and emulating them in the guitar Segovia himself a long with Manuel Lopez Ramos
http://www.myspace.com/lopezramos
develop a whole methodology of arpeggios for guitar players of which I took this small example for my lesson.
(I hope I did not annoyed you with all this anecdotes etc)

Thanks maestro Peter.
Regards
Ruben

From Segovia
every instrument of the orchestra is inside the guitar
Ruben: Understanding the origins of the fundamentals that guide us is never boring. Thanks for letting us know the philosophy that allowed the arpeggio to spring forth.

The wisdom of Segovia shines through in this quotation and as I reflect on it I would also say that inside the guitar is every person too.

Young or old, holding a guitar close to oneself and allowing its resonance to be felt deeply inside the chest is a profoundly personal experience. Regardless of competency, the expressiveness that emerges from single notes, chords or rhythms allows our personality to come to the surface without a word being spoken or a glance rendered. It is a language appreciated by all who have held a guitar and felt this moment. The guitar is a gift and holding and playing it a joy like no other.

Thanks for your insights Ruben. When I listen to you play I hear an orchestra.

I could not be more in agreement with you maestro Peter
and I admire your capacity to express poetry in your concepts,
in fact the person shines through the instrument…how true is that.
thanks again.
