I saw the Guess Who perform around 1973 in Peoria, IL ... they were absolutely fantastic.

In April, I had a flight from San Diego and had an early breakfast in the airport cafe. Several "musician types" took the table next to mine. When a couple more came in, I offered them the vacant seats at my table. They were the Guess Who in their present configuration (a couple of original members-the drummer got the name after the break-up) They were really nice guys. They had played at the Convention Center for a National Association of Indian Casinos Convention. Later, when I was boarding my flight, I overheard a couple of ladies who had seen the show talking about how great they sounded.
Here they are in action:

Shakin all over by the Guess Who has to be right at the top of great 60's tunes, they were actually called Chad Allen and the Expressions when that was recorded and had a different singer (Chad Allen) and had the garage sound.

Their sound changed when Burton Cummings joined.
I saw them in 1970 at an outside concert right when American Woman was huge, they were great live.

If you haven't seen the movie Superbad, it also plays into one of the funniest scenes in the film.
