Hey gang, does anyone have a capo that they know will work with a 60's 12 string? Thanks, J

Yep. This one http://www.g7th.com/

They are super easy to use and they work with any neck. The added bonus is that they wont mess up your finish.

I use one from G7 that Brian linked to, called the Performance Capo. It works perfectly with my Carl Wilson 12. Don't know how much the radius varies from the "real thing", but it's fairly well curved.

I use a G7 on my JG 360/12 WB. It's not as fancy as Kira's Carl Wilson but it works for me. Love that guitar Kira. :D

Is a standard Shubb not curved enough?

I use a Shubb on my '09 360/12. I don't know what difference there is in the radius of my guitar and one built 45 years ago, however.

A 60's fingerboard would be very curved. The radii have been much flatter since the mid 80's (except for the 360/12c63, if memory serves).

My '67 360F has a beautiful curve to it but my '64 RM1997 is quite flat. Are the RM's an anomaly when comparing 60's fingerboards?

I think we see the really curved ones starting in '65 - there's a '65 365 at Mandolin Bros with the 7" radius fretboard (very curved).

thanks everybody.

Brian, I have the Nashville you posted a link to. It doesn't even come close, the high E's plunk out. I also have a Kyser 12-str that does the same thing.

Surely someone here has experience capo-ing a 60's Rick 12, right??? Bueller? :o
