Rockin' on the rocks!

My husband Just got me this cool ice cube tray that will be a fun way to chill out with my music buddies.... Pour the water into the molds and snap the necks into place, and freeze, and get cool guitar-shaped ice cubes with a built-in stir stick for your drink. I added a drop of food coloring to each one for added effect. I'm thinking the yellow food coloring wasn't such a good idea, as it made my ice water look a bit suspicious. :? But a blue electric guitar was a mighty cool addition to my gin and tonic last night! Wouldn't it be great if they made these in Rickenbacker models? I'm thinking a 330, a 620, and a 4000 series bass shape.

The yellow looked really bad as it melted into my glass of ice water.... :P but I suppose it would be okay in a darker drink.

Don.... yep, it looked just like yellow snow. And then toilet water when the ice melted.

John, the gin was Bombay Sapphire....so of course a blue guitar was a perfect mate for it.

I'd heard Hendricks was great, but I did not enjoy it nearly as much.

Yes, we've tried the Hendricks too. It was good, but I prefer the lighter taste of the Bombay. It's very refreshing on a hot afternoon or evening.

I take a bottle along to the condo at Lake Michigan. It almost makes it through the week and I'm the only one drinking it.
