This is hiarious!

Sounds like today..... 1:35 in.

Love Weir's Ac'cent-equipped Rickenbacker. Think I've seen him with an F hole model from this time period too.


Mostly this video reminds me of Grandpa Simpson's would-be final words when he was moments away from a Kevorkianesque assisted suicide: asked what he'd like to watch on the monitor as the drugs entered his veins, he replied, "I want to see cops beating hippies to the sound of the Glen Miller Orchestra"

Dark and hilarious. Of course, something prevented his demise and he's still alive in cartoonland thankfully.

As I recall, there are a couple of photos of Weir and a RIC in the Grateful Dead gear book.


That clip is interesting because in the very old shows that I have and have heard, Pigpen sings the lead on "Dancing in the Streets," not Bobby. I thought Weir didn't start singing it until Pigpen passed away. Needless to say, when McKernan sang it,it had a lot more soul to it.

Yes, there are; great book, even for those who are not DeAdHeAdS.

Being a Deadhead came true for Jerry unfortunately. Personally I never liked the band itself but he was one hilarious character. He deserves more respect than the announcer was giving him. Jerry served in the US Army for a spell.
