2 things i find strange are a) the 3000 series of basses are inbetween guitars while all other basses are not and b) older 4005's seems cheaper than newer one's

Bert: Our format and organization will change as we add to the list. We also expect to add amplifiers and lap steels as Gil works on the calculations for the tables. With regard to 4005s, eBay can be an unpredictable place.

Nice work Peter, you think it'd be a good idea to have a database (or an additional table) with the official pricelist/year too?

This is a great feature. Two of my instruments are not represented yet (360/12 WB and 350 Liverpool) but I am reasonably confident that they will be added at some point.
