Billy based on the demo's I have seen and the testimonials that I have read those amps precisely duplicate Brian May's ("Queen") guitar sound. They are killer. No pun intended.

Great amp, but, with one knob, either you like it, or you don't.

If you're really interested, Chris Clayton at Pick of the Ricks has a very good deal on one....

I wouldn't like it; Whether it's a Twin or an AC30, I adjust the tone knobs according to the sound I'm looking for at the time, along with the guitar I'm playing.

I think an amp needs three: Volume, bass and treble. Come to think of it, two: volume and tone.
Mid, presence, eq, all that stuff is just screwy.

Van Halen originally wanted his 5150 amps to just have one knob, Hartley Peavey told him that the amp would sell better if it had adjustable features.

I never got to try one in a practical setting, but now I think I want to.

Because you aren't spending my money I say get this amp and a treble booster & go to town! All tone stacks limit tone & many rob you of dynamics & articulation. Your guitar has volume & tone controls already, use 'em & let it live. Amps made out of old tube school film projectors are in the same vein. I have a single tone on my amp but it is still cheating because the real "tone" is elsewhere. Single pickup guitars have a similar awesomeness. Reduce it to the essentials. The rest is all gimmicks. Don't get me wrong now because I love all the gimmicks...but sometimes the connection from person to string to amp to air has to be more direct.
