Any fans of the band Squire?

Anthony Meynell used Rickenbackers but I'm not sure for how long or what models.
He got a nice jangly sound. Totally awesome power pop and unexplainably underrated band!

Yup there are still a few old mods still hangin in here......Now where that mods Mayday LP

Big fan of Anthony and SQU!RE. Any band that does a cover of Shoes songs is A+ in my book.

That must be "Boys Don't Lie" on their September Gurls LP. Good covers but d@mn, they could write the best songs.

They are another Woking band (the jam) and just played a gig there with Weller & Foxton - Bob on!

Couldn't find SQU!RE on Amazon,so I'm previewing Shoes Best.

hahahah ive just realized that my above post is completely off the wall i think i must have been sidetracked and started blabbering about another band completely.
yup favorite song on the Get smart LP is `You dont see me` but ive always liked `Your the one` as it has the So sad about us chords......
On the Hits from 3000 years ago lp got to be `Saturday shopping`
lots of plectrum running up the frets.
Sorry for the above rambling again! Lol

Yep, loved them, saw them a couple of times when I was much, much younger ... particular favourites would be 'No time tomorrow" and their fine cover of "September Gurls"
