Ken Roberts Model

I would be interested in your comments with regard to this Ken Roberts model which appears to have been modified with respect to the bridge and tailpiece. The horseshoe pickup has also been moved.Image

I've owned three of these over the years and the biggest problem I had was the overall 'weight' of the instrument; about twice as heavy as a typical 360. Also, it's nearly impossible to keep it in tune using light gauge strings. Most people I know that have one of these have raised the nut and use it for 'slide', like a Dobro. The pickup was probably moved to facilitate damping the strings at the bridge. Those pesky overstring pickups are not 'palm' friendly!
