Am I dreaming? I have to pinch myself...I bought 2 awesome Rickenbackers in 2 days.. Wow! And both of them right here on the RRF. Amazing.

But wait does this one count as a Rickenbacker? Or "Licensed By Rickenbacker" or what...? Anyway I am pretty Jazzed about it.What an cool little guitar I have been waiting to find one for a long time.Should I paint it black or maybe make it into a 450? Well,I probably will just leave it as is because it looks pretty sweet to me.Thanks John!

And then the next day I see...this 1968 Rickenbacker 365 with accent trem,21 fret neck, toasters, checkered binding and crushed pearl inlays all packed up in an original Silver Rickenbacker case. OMG! It's funny because The last time I bought a guitar from Mitch he sent me a copy his Dynamico CD and I think he played this guitar on some of the tracks. Anyway, thanks Mitch! I will put the guitar in my "Let's Active" shrine.

I'm all about the versatility of a 450, but I'd leave that offbrander alone. The tone of a single pickup in the mid position (a la model 1000) can't be beat.

If you'd like to hear more about the toaster in the mid position, listen to RRF CD1, my May/June song. The solo in the second half is a '64 1000. Now back to your regularly scheduled program. Or visit your local library. They'd love company.

Thanks Scotty! I can't wait to get them. I'm really interested to hear what those vintage toasters sound like.
