Look pretty awesome so far. Looks like he has real chrome steel magnets, not the laminated shoes of yore. Hope the legal issues have been worked out and these will be another option for those that need them.

Hey, very cool! I would love to drop one in my v68. if only I wasn't so in love with the sound of that damn Higain.

Yeah, it's really exciting! Did they ever use 6 pole pickups on a bass?

Yep, all toasters are 6-poles. I'll defer to the serious pickup experts when it comes to the bridge pickups.

This looks like it is for a lap steel (LS), not a bass, given the shoes are 1 1/2" wide and the height adjusters and style shape of the end plates are for a LS, too.

Darn... didn't notice the size of the shoes. Maybe he's moved to the pre-WW2 era pickups due to copyright issues?

So these won't fit in a bass?

I can't believe these are for a LS. The real $$$ are in bass pick ups, so for them not to fit directly in, wouldn't make any sense.
Would it?

Yeah, as a lapsteel-only product offering, this seems bizarre. You can buy a functional Ric lapsteel for $400 dollars or less if you look around. So if he doesn't offer a bass compatible product, it will be disappointing.

I talked to Mike at Lollars shop, he states these are for a guitar and they are $400.00
There is one on ebay today, kind of expensive but it is a bass model.

That'd be Dale selling that one. Jeff beat me to it - 1.5" wide.

Eh? You can't sell a Lollar HS on eBay?
