Yeah, I just saw that Ben had posted an announcement over on the Ric Company Forum a short while ago.

Wide neck 12 String with the O.S. body ... Double Bound ... 21 Frets ... Black Toasters and hardware !! 8) 8)

Very unique !!

This one should get a lot of interest from all the Narrow Neck Naysaying Nabobs!

A great idea... but will it fuel a debate on a wide-neck option?

The wide neck debate is self igniting. No doubt it will add some fuel. Once again Paul, I believe you are most likely spot-on.

Oh My!

Until I found a 360/12 V64 that I could actually play...

Still, it would be hard to say "no" to one of these with gold guards & TRC in AFG! :D

Is this the first factory Rick 12er to combine the 660/12-style wide neck with the thru-slot headstock?

No points for the correct answer.

This guitar has a very nice combination of features, though personally I think that the "advantage" of the extra .125" nutwidth is all in the head.

And of course, there's the expected bashing of this on another forum that shall not be spoken of...Pity how grinding an axe is more important than appreciating an instument for what it is...Having said that, whoever gets this better PLAY it, because this thing plays soooo awesome..It doesn't deserve to be a wall hanger..

We we do pride ourselves on being a very civil bunch on this forum Eric. Even when people don't like a particular aspect of an instrument they tend to say it in a manner that is respectful and courteous here.

I know, and although frustrating, I shall say no more about it here...Just a "few beers" induced rant which stops here :)

Eric, is that the same color as used on the Chris Squire signature bass? Looks awful close in the photos, but color rendition is not always reliable.
