I'm not a bass fan at all, but if I had this one, I would stand it in the middle of my living room and just sit and look at it all day.

A beautiful bass to be sure. But at this point I look at new Ricks more for something different on the
playability or sound side of things. If I wanted to get every Rick I thought looked great, I'd have to win the
lottery first! But wow, what a looker. Early congrats to the high bidder.

I too like this mixture of new and old...
I'll probably get flamed for this, but I think a Hi-gain pickup in the neck position (leave the horse there) may suit the look a bit better, (and I think the sound would suit the look)
Its not a 1999, perhaps its a 2099!
Blasphemy?

This is a very nice combo.

Can anyone enlighten me on why something like this isn't produced more?

This would seriously tempt me to buy new but definitely not in the "collector" range of what this will likely go for...

I don't think that they have a large supply of blacked out hardware floating around and It's not for everyone.....

Actually I've changed my mind, I don't think that there is anything that could have done better on this bass!

Yeah, I get that Eden.

I'm just curious why they don't order up some more parts and start cranking at least 50 of these out. Blacked out hardware isn't much different than chromed hardware other than finding the right place to get it done. It's not like there aren't 500,000 powder coaters in the country.
