Some of you may have noticed I've been a bit sparse on my posts lately (and some are no doubt glad for that fact ). Anyway, we've been moving to the new place. 5 trips so far, me pulling a 30ft flatbed, my wife pulling a 30ft horse trailer. There's still a few more trips before the house and shop are empty, then there's a bunch of equipment I haven't managed to sell yet. That'll be another few trips.

Anyway, this was my last load, total weight close to 30k lbs. I just wish I could use my Peterbilt and 48ft trailer. Unfortunately, I can't get it around the curves on the driveway until I do some road work.

I think you need to have a yardfield sale.

I hear some of those flamey basses are pretty heavy...........................................

Five trips at approx 30,000 lbs each - and you still haven't got all the stuff moved ????

It's great fun moving equipment. Moving basses and guitars...........sheer panic unless you can see them the entire time you are actually moving. Have safe trips CJ.

Careful with those beautiful basses, CJ. And watch out for your back; don't overdo it!

The basses were moved first, came down in the car so they got a softer ride than the trucks/trailers. And no, not all the loads are 30k lbs, but there's still a lot of farm equipment I haven't managed to sell yet, so it'll get moved and sold next spring along with a bunch of other stuff that we seem to have accumulated over the last 30 years...

That's a move! LOL.

We just hired United Van Lines from NY to Fla. Problem was, the house wasn't completed when we got here. SO, we had to move everything into Storage and an apartment for 3 months....then, we got to pay for it all over again, to move 7 miles away!

Next place I move to? FOREST LAWN! I"m NOT doing that again!
