It got pretty hairy in the city - Queens apparently got hit hardest with lots of uprooted trees and some building damage. The storms calmed down by the time they got out my way on the Island (about 50 miles from Queens) - just some heavy thunderstorms. The LI Railroad had to suspend service out of Penn Station due to trees and debris on the tracks...lots of power outages...I heard about at least one fatality in the city.

TeeVee footage looked pretty brutal! Looked savage in some quarters.
