A while back I though I saw someone post a pic of a MG 4003 with a tortise shell pick guard from Pickgardian. Did a search, nothing. Anyone recall it?

There's a thread on the Ric factory forum with photos on it as we speak - posted yesterday with the title Custom Pickguard. Looks rather nice, I didn't think I'd like it but am happy to be proved wrong

Cool. Thanks.
I keep seeing this thing come up. I think it is the perfect retro bass. Was this the protptype or an actual production model? What's the deal with the pick guard? Looks metallic. I'm sure Tony at Pickguardian or Dawk Sound/John Stillwell must have been approached about making something like this before.

She's production. From whence all other Rick basses come.
