The Undertakers with Jackie Lomax

As it's been a bit quiet here lately, here's a clip of The Undertakers circa 1963. Beatle fans should note that Jackie Lomax would later wind up on Apple Records as a solo artist for a couple of years. Despite a determined effort by George Harrison, Jackie's career never really took off.

I have that documentary Jeff that this is taken from. One of many Liverpool bands from the time who could net get that elusive hit that would propel them into nationally known.
Working on something at moment for a bit of fun to try and generate a bit more interest.

Thanks Roy, I'm looking forward to what your working on; it's been too quiet around here.
From reading the Liverpool Beat site (
http://www.liverpoolbeat.com/) it sounds like The Undertakers play the occasional reunion gig when Jackie comes through town. I'd love to see one of those shows...

Thanks for putting this up. It's always good to hear an old band from back in the day who still has some kick.

The original 60s lineup of the Undertakers were a exciting unique sound, typical of the U-Tube rendering in Jeff's posting of the Undertakers at the Iron Door 1963. The band performed regularly at the club. Peter Hamilton( Everton) Square observes rightly that the name of the Undertakers lives on under the very positive direction of the Geoff Nugent who was in the famous original 60s lineup.
