yepper ! you got it, pontiac ! met up with steve at his place after one of my ww2 battles this weekend up in canada, eh ?
steve and his chick were gracious to invite me over ater a few previous failed attemps to meet up with the dude. i had brought up my '64 4001s/RM 1999 and fireglo '68 deluxe to show him and he reciprocated by showing me his arsenal of firewood ! we discussed the dwarfs, and various construction oddities of rick basses, and other touchy subjects. spent a couple of hours there...great guy...and he did owe me a brew, so i took him up on it. also saw his namesake...'86 kubicki ! nice collection of rick basses including a 4005, of which model i've never seen or held in person. thank you, steve.

Steve's a great guy, he has been down this way a couple times, when I did RIO!!! and MICRIO over the past couple of years.

Ron, now you have to come down to Cleveland and check out my 4005WB.

Hey Ron - it was great to finally meet up with you! Glad I could provide a cold brew for someone coming back from the front.
Sorry Joey, no pics (it didn't even occur to me at the time). There was definitely a lot of Rick talk along with Mr. Ronbo's music industry stories. Had a look at Ronbo's '64 4001 (this ain't no case queen - its a rock and roll machine!), along with his '68 4001 (beautifully thin neck!). It was a great way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon - you're welcome back anytime Ron (even the "chick" likes you)!

being my first time at steve's haus meeting him,(i was there before, dropping off a pre '73 tail piece for him for his 4001s as he wasn't home, but this time i did not want to impose by photographing all his stuff ( or his huge lion of a dog gingerly spilling his brew...(me thinks der doggie vanted zum brewski as well !) we'll connect again as i do 4 events up near him during the year.
