......was BUCK TRENT who I watched on the Saturday Porter Wagoner Show (with purty Miss Dolly Parton). Buck could rip on guitar or banjo, and one of his signatures was getting whammy bar effects using his tuning keys. At the time, I didn't know it was a common trick used by banjo players.
