Hi guys,
I am looking for volunteers to start working on a new Wiki project (Rickenbacker content, obviously).
If you are willing to share your knowledge and you are familiar with the wiki format or if you are willing to learn how to use it - please drop me a note.
Thanks!

Since I'm doing "the" book on Rick basses, I should be on your "staff." Let me know what you have in mind.

I would be glad to be what help I can. In the days of Wikipedia's infacy I (and one other person) gave the Tool (band) page a strong foundation that still lingers although there've been lots of big improvements since I stopped editing a few years ago.
One of Wikipedia's biggest problems was that for every 100 great editors was one complete psycho who was convinced their edits were superior when everyone else could tell they were batsh*t crazy. One guy kept putting false information on the Tool (band) page about album releases basically because he was *hoping* that's what was going to happen! He did it countless times but the Wikipedia mods didn't want to ban him.

Craig, no release date set, but I have begun building pages and chapters. This has been a VERY LONG term project, so I'm making no promises. However, if all goes to plan, I hope to come out with something resembling a book sometime in 2011.
That said, I've withdrawn my offer to help with the wiki effort as it may seem to compete with my planned book. I'm sorry if this seems self-serving, but competing with another publishing effort is something I hoped would never occur.

Actually I was surprised about your initial post of support for this very reason. Makes sense to me.

Kinda defeats the point of buying the book if you're putting it all out there for free, huh?
In response to the original topic, if you need fancy smancy graphics or logos or whatever, I can whip up just about anything. (I work in Graphic Design)

Paul,
People who like books will still get the book, I actually plan on buying the book regardless as it would be nice to "touch" the paper and "smell" the images.
A wiki project is for everyone's benefit.
For all those who offered to help: Thanks, I will contact you via pm soon.

I rather doubt I could be of help, but would like to say I'm glad to see this effort and can't wait to buy Pauls book.
