For a minute i thought someone was selling heat :wink: anyway 2 things i wanted to ask the more knowledgeable RRF members Im not very up on my f models.
1,Whats the story with the skunk stripe on the back of the neck it looks like its rubbed off ?
2,Whats that metal bracket under the strap bolt? Ive never seen one of these before

1.........that would indicate to me that the neck has been over sprayed, over a repair
2.........I imagine the centre joint has split and the plate hides it

The frets look a bit chunky. Nice looking guitar though :D

oh my they have my old 64' 1996! the one i sold in 2003. :shock: it was picked up in person by some guy when i still lived in santa monica...he argued about the price heavily at the last minute ...now 150% markup... i should have never sold that one.

1. I think that it is just the wood pattern, it fades out light and comes back in again on the headstock.
2. That's where you keep your sandwiches.

What was the last two digits of the SN? I could only get DK5xx when I put it into the register...

Yes that is one that you should not have let go methinks...

All those years working for Rickenbacker and I bet that never once did you strap Mr Hall to a chair with gaffer tape and threaten not to release him until he agreed to re-introduce the F series guitars.
