I have a question.... On the McGuinn model with the compressor. I understand there is a "click" knob. Does each click produce a different sound? It appears the compressor kicks in on the last two clicks but not getting any different sounds from the others. Can anyone confirm this? Any help is appreciated.

Thank you

Here's a link to the manual for the 370/12 RM LE on the RIC website.

It states that there is compression only on positions 5 and 6 of the rotary switch: http://www.rickenbacker.com/catalog_pos ... uinn-2.jpg

#4 Medium tone with compression is what I use the most.

Oddly enough, I don't usually use the compressor on my 370/12RM FG. :)

Yes, but I did. And I'm gonna keep using it everytime I'm in SoCal and I see you and it.

that clickety click knob goes first with filters bit like varitone than with comp and than finally comp & boost clockwise ...it is somewhat noisy monster but it does nail down some sounds pretty good, 370/12rm non active model and janglebox is much more silent and does almost the same thing; and if you pair it with some varitone (snarling dogs used to make one in pedal format) you have the same thing. i have been playing with these things (varitones) for years and it always comes to situation that there is just one sound that i really like and the rest is useless for me... so i hardwire it that way with push pull and take the varitone out all together...
