i believe paul owns a couple of them, as i have seen him use a fireglo in the past, but the capri in this video looks to be refinished. so it could be the same one.

Nice job on the song. Love the JG Capri. If it is a refin the binding was left alone as it still looks aged.

Ditto. The JG finish is a great look on a Capri. Although I don't believe JG was a standard finish in the Capri era, I guess its possible that there was a factory original Capri issued in JG. This one looks to be a refin.
Sounds great!

And, oh man, if you've never played one of these, you have no idea how slim and sweet these old single-rod necks can be. They're "sport-necks" compared to Gibson "18-wheeler necks"...

That is a beauty. I've never played one. Heck! I've never even seen one in person.

How thin are they, in general? Like from 1st fret to 12th, whats the range on the ones you have seen?

The late '58/early '59 that was in my possession for almost two years had what I would describe as a medium thick neck. The best way for me to describe this would be to use Gibson parlance - not even close to an undesirably thin (IMO) '60 neck, but closer to that of a '58.
BTW, here it is, "getting a workout":

The bridge pickup was just unreal. Very Gibson-esque. It didn't sound like any Rickenbacker I've heard.
