Badda BLING!

I finally got all the gold hardware put onto the '04 Laredo and got some shots. Thanks to Dane Wilder for the chrome/gold swap, and to Jeff Rath for supplying the standard Schaller M4 tuner to replace the unwanted Drop-D Schaller. The combination of gold-plated hardware on the Turquoise finish is a winner. Note this now has the "new" Schaller tuner that comes standard on recent 4004Cii basses. You'll remember I discovered that this particular Laredo has body wings with the walnut core, so now it is much more a Cheyenne II than a Laredo. Enjoy!

+1! LOL!

Yeah, CJ's one-off 4003 is a real stunner. I remember watching the auction & wishing I had the means to get it - one fantastic Ric there. I've always loved the look of figured maple & walnut, so it's no suprise my 4004Cii is my favorite of all my basses.

I suppose that means it would take a FEW to trade for your ONE one-off.
But, seriously, which ones that I have would get you thinking?

Meanwhile, I put all of Paul's chrome on my 2009 4004Cii FG. I need to take and post some pics of this bass since it's also undergone a couple mods and is in a transitionary phase on it's way to 5-string conversion. Paul, I think you meant new Schaller bridge instead of "new Schaller tuner". For anyone thinking of swapping the ABM for Schaller bridge, although the ABM has 4 mounting screws and the Schaller 3, the holes are drilled on the same line. The new 2-piece neck on the 4004's (with it's lack of flexing at the body) makes it possible to use the ABM bridge, even though the fretboard is slightly lower.
