I think Lem's was probably the first Ric I really saw and heard, what made me want one. I know that tastes comes and go, but I've never lost my love for Motorhead....hard to believe after all these years, they still sound so good.
...and who defines cool more than the darkened figure of Lemmy taking the stage with fag in mouth, and signature Ric ready to roll?

His gold TRC doesn't have the Ric logo on it.

Hmmm...I wonder why? Did he remove it intentionally for some reason?!?

It's not an original TRC, it's a brass fake. You can see that clearly in full HD.
There is something engraved in it but it's not clear what.
I suppose it's the one that says 'rickenbastard' on it.
Pretty lame if you ask me, but since Lemmy apparently IS god, I can live with it.
I got in to Rickenbacker guitars as a young Mod in the late 70's revival here in the UK. Lemmy & Motorhead were pretty much the "Anti-Mod" so I took no notice of what bass he played until many years later. Nowadays he seems to have established himself as a British Rock Icon and I really like his signature edition and think he's ok too, but I still don't get the music!

I'm not a bass player, but I've always liked Lemmy's sound. He even played the solo on "Stay Clean"!
Motorhead one one of those bands (along with thrash metal bands, punk, hardcore, and a smattering of alt-rock bands), that kept me going through the musical desolation that was the vast majority of new wave and hair metal.

As a revival mod myself,i didnt get greasers or bikers....but i always enjoyed Motorhead .....nowadays im a bit of a Mocker to quote Mr Madyryn Street Starkey himself...ive got a scooter, attend rallys, love soul,ska,northern...but theres a darkside...and Lemmy is Darth for me....i play rock in a Grateful dead influnced band and my Rick 4001 is my baby...so Foxton/Kilmister both influenced me....if u Rick....you Rock!
