Why in the 360 WB range were some sound holes bound and others not? Was the sound hole only bound in certain years?

Wasn't bound sound hole an option at certain points?

My real dream is an RM 1993 with bound "F"-hole!

Paul in terms of Binding a f hole is that a night mare to do? Also would a guitar need to be re painted? I know i know im being a complete anorak.
i would presume there is only one joint in a regular slash hole would a f hole entail more joints?

Beats being a ludite... isn't binding put on top of some relief, or is it kind of glued-on flat?

A bound f-hole... can someone photoshop that? Hard to imagine one with binding, you know...

It takes, patience, binding, glue. Oh, and experience with Gordian Knots.

Perhaps some Gregorian chanting is necessary as well.

I usually bind or rebind when the instrument is stripped to wood, as there's a lot of sanding and scraping involved.

How many pieces would it take to bind an "F" hole like this one? It would take me four, probably. I could do it in two with lots of stress, and probably in one if a straight jacket was at hand.

Chanting doesn't help. Listening to Gregorian chant, however, is great for focusing the attention.

Ironically, I learned Gregorian chant as a grade school student (3rd grade), and learned that peculiar Gregorian notation then, too. Catholic school.
