Thought I'd just combine all these in one thread rather than set up a bunch of unnecessary threads and clutter the topic...

Song 4 is up - "Gallery Place - Chinatown."

Hear a '67 366/12 FG run through a JangleBox and a Fender CyberTwin.

Also used: bass pedals rig (Roland JV1010 module and PK5 pedals), '81 Guild D212M acoustic 12-string with Dean Markley Pro-Mag soundhole mounted pickup, Epiphone LP Special with Gibson P94's and Bigsby B5, Zoom RhythmTrak RT-123 drum machine.

Gear used: Pro Tools LE with MBox, Focusrite TrakMaster preamp, Neumann TLM103 microphone.

Comments and thoughts are welcomed! Thanks for listening, and if you're on reverbnation and/or facebook, please fan or like this! :) Also let me know if you'd like me to fan/like you back.

Song # 5, "Rosslyn," is up at http://www.reverbnation.com/metrosongsbyjasonmendelson and tells a story of love and malaria.

TONS and TONS of 366/12 on this one, and written in the style of our own esteemed Mr. Kenny Howes.

Gorgeous harmonies on Gallery Place/Chinatown. I like the narcissistic levity that lies almost in disguise under the lush rhythm tracks & vocal melodies. At least that's how it hits me.

Just listened to "Rossyln". Wow, I'm impressed. Now, where's my stop, Crystal City? Sounds like a good song title already!

Song #7 is done: Federal Triangle. It features a 4002 - using the XLR jack! Yep, I finally got the original pickups wired up, thanks to Matt at Action Music in Falls Church, VA. Note the punchy pop of the compressed 4002 as it kicks off the tune, just after the drum intro. Also on this track are a real Rhodes nice and clean, a Kurzweil SP88 acting as organ through a Boss rotary speaker simulator, and an Epiphone Riviera run through some ridiculous chorus. Also a special cameo by the J Dog Tabernacle Choir.

Something I forgot to mention:
On song #6, L'Enfant Plaza, you are hearing a '48 Rick SP unplugged (for effect only, the horseshoe totally works).

Thanks for listening, and following on facebook!

Is the bass only the XLR out?

Yes, the bass on Federal Triangle is only the XLR output, thus, just the bridge pickup.

Pretty amazing sounding for a bridge pickup that close to the bridge. 8)

Must be because it's a single coil. I always thought these were humbuckers until we opened up these pickups. Oh I never posted those pics, of the 4002 pickup guts, did I? Did I?
