hi all,
I did a Midi arrangement of Nelson Riddle's "Theme From Route 66" because I am an old musician that started in music in the early 1960's, and I have been absorbing all kinds of music since I was age 7, my mother was an opera singer, my father a violinist, so there was always music in my house.

I am not a jazz musician, heaven forbid THAT, I was influenced by The Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Byrds, The Bee Gees, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelyn, the British Invasion, Paul Revere & The Raiders, Motown, Brazilian, Caribbean, Middle Eastern, Asian, Classical, Flamenco, and you name it music, and some jazz.

nowadays I play alone with a sequencer, I create my own backing tracks and I play guitars, bass, keyboard, depending on the song.

the "Theme From Route 66" is a tune that I get requests for when playing for older audiences.

So I did a "study", it's a darned difficult song to do, you try it, but you can listen to the arrangement I made, and the original recordings of the Route 66 Theme in a website I just completed:

I always loved the loud drums that Gene Krupa used to play, and that he always cracked the snare head in every performance, sort of like The Who of jazz
