Yes, I saw it. Eh, it was ok. I was cringing when Steven Tyler came out to sing but he actually did a really good job.

McCartney requested Tyler - it turned out to be the right choice IMO... Thought it was a great night for Macca

Paul seemed quite surprised and thrilled to see James Taylor walk on stage.

I also liked that he was singing along to his own songs.

yeahh I think the performances were mostly in the level of excellent, Tyler and Norah were fab, except, (you guessed it) James Taylor. He and the piano player were totally fighting it out, (listen again). One of the two forgot the modulation and I think it was (you guessed it) James Taylor.

Will someone please remove James Taylor from the stage? Thank you! NEXT!

Dave Grohl and Steve Tyler were great. No Doubt/Gwen Stefani doing "Penny Lane"? Could have done without that one.

yeahh Gwenn with her spring vibrato killed the vocals! but the band was solid, the two cats playing the Brass were awesome players, too bad the trumpet player didn't use a Cornet, he used a Trumpet which is an octave below.

Typical (modern) cornets and trumpets are both tuned to Bb in the same octave. A piccolo trumpet was used on Penny Lane.

I actually thought No Doubt did a great job on the songs they played. Too bad nobody did Soily.

Ryan, musically I thought No Doubt were great...Gwen's warbling was too much, for me anyway. I still have to say that I was soooo disappointed when Steven Tyler came out. I said to myself, oh god, he's going to just scream the lyrics and make a mess of it. Boy was I wrong. He did a great job, kept it straight while adding his own personal style. I was very impressed. Very classy.
