Hi Folks,
Brand new to this forum. Hope to glean a lot of good info and fellowship here. I am an old-time Rickenbacker enthusiast and lost my first love ('86 360/6 FG) about 10 yrs ago out of financial desperation. Got my new 360/12C63 FG from Santa and really loving the instrument. The toasters are by far sweeter than the hi-gains on my first 360 and I have been indulging myself with the myriad tonal landscape.
Thanks for being here and all of you please have a wonderful, safe New Year,
Geoff

Welcome to the forum.
The 360/12c63 is a big leap from the 360/6. Enjoy!
Oh, and don't sell it!

Thanks Steve,
You better bet I will hang on to this one. Shucks, the 12'er has rekindled my interest in getting another 6er for my stable, and yes it will be another 360 FG.

What a lovely Christmas gift! Mine will be a new 360/12 FG with toasters, which is on its way to me right now. Santa must be feeling generous this year!

Welcome! The360/12 is a cool guitar! Like you, I had to sell my first Ric (a 1994 jetglo 360/6) due to a financial crisis I was facing (mine was in 1999). I got it back, by sheer dumb luck in late 2008 (I found it in a Music Go Round)). Like a fool, I sold it due to a need for money to deal with a fit of Gretsch GAS in 2009 (I told myself I wasn't bonding with my 360/6 the 2nd time around). In 2010 I realized how stupid I was to sell it. I luckily came up with the money to buy Blondie, my present 360/6, this past summer. Last month, I had to go through the stress of selling Blondie,to pay for some dental work I needed a.s.a.p. (courtesy of a car accident I was in 31 years ago, of all things!). Luckily I was able to scrape together the money to buy Blondie back before Xmas. I hope I don't have to deal with that hassle again! It 'taint no fun losing a Ric!

Don't sell the Rick, sell your furniture if you have to!

I hear ya - you lost yours twice - I will never forgive myself for unloading such a faithful and hard-working axe. But the new 12 string certainly takes some of the bite out of my guilt. Now on to 6 string RAS...
