Thanks Brian,I haven't gotten it yet. Can't wait! Andy Partridge had a black Bronco when I saw XTC in 1979.

I had a '73 Bronco exactly like this one and the matching amp - which was basically a Vibro Champ - back in the late '70s. Scored that set up for $75! Still have the guitar somewhere (Mom's?) but it's in pretty sad shape thanks to a few knuckleheads. Sadly, the amp was stolen from my house back in the early '90s when I was opening a show for Delbert McClinton. They took the Bronco Amp but left the 1960 Strat under the bed AND a mint 1966 Super Reverb?? Go figure.

I shared a couple of bills with Del back in the early '90s. He was a trip to hang with afterwards, especially when partaking in the downing of a few frosty beverages. Hard working guy that always gave 100% during his shows.

That is so cool! Delbert's harp playing had an influence on John Lennon.
Below is an interview with Bruce and Del

Yep; we talked about that over a couple of Heinekens in Baltimore - specifically the '62 tour of the UK and the harp part on "Love Me Do". Good times! Sorry for the thread drift!

I had read in several bios, how Bruce Channel's harmonica player had shown John Lennon a few licks when Channel toured the UK in '62 (?). Nobody had mentioned his name, though. Delbert McClinton--imagine that! Small world, indeed.

The things you can get away with when you're 17! LMAO! Now he's wearing a cheesy "porn 'stache" - not a good look for a man that just turned 70 in November!

My Bronco arrived yesterday. It looks like it just left Fender's Fullerton plant on Monday.
