I've been to the store a few times, never bought anything. The owner is a nice, helpful guy and I wish I'd bought that 650 Sierra he was offering in the $900's a few years back!

I think that I met you in the store once Robert, either when the store was in Manassas or (presently) in Gainesville; my mind is failing me now. My wife used to be the store manager at the Gainesville location.

Love the trans green! That is a very nice Cii, but if you have the patients to order a new one & do the waiting game, it would come with the new 2-piece figured neck like mine...

Oh man, you mean you have to be a doctor to order a 4004Cii?
Or do you mean patience?
Oh, and I
love that flamey 2 piece neck. If only I could figure out how to get 'em to change my one piece for one like that...

I dropped by the Gainesville store a couple of times, when returning from Winchester with my family. The time I sat down with the 650, my wife was in the car and eventually came in and asked, "what's taking so long?"

I said I was just going to look for a few minutes!

LOL! Darned spell check, I could use it when posting...
I'll tell you what, if I were a doctor, I'd have a Cii in every factory color, and a few re-finished ones as well - trans purple, trans orange and AutumnGlo, just to name a few.
And thank you, the neck on my Cii is indeed a thing of beauty.

Well, I've been out of the loop for awhile, so this may be a little late. I bought a '08 4003 FG from Classic Axe in January 2009 with the help of the good folks on this site. I dealt with Russ Craig over the phone. I was happy with the price and Russ could not have been more congenial to deal with. Bass arrived in Williamsburg very securly packaged and when I opened the case a day after receiving it, the guitar was in pristine condition. I'd certainly do business with them again any time.

The trans green Cii is the pretty much the only Rickenbacker bass I could ever want (apart from the two oddities that I have)
I would love to have one!
