they are cool but are as different as night and day in feel....in TONE however, they are almost identical which is what I was after to take out on tour!

My '86 MID/BT and my '89 MID/BT FL have necks which feel more or less the same, but the '89 is almost purple while the '86 really is blue. My '92 2030 MID/BH has a color which is comparable to the '86. Is your '89 also a bit purplish?

actually, both are quite purplish. I was waiting for you to see this since I know that you are all about the MID/BT like I am..

Pretty good pictures of mine are here: '86, '89 and the 2030 in the register.

Since these are chameleons in changing colors I can not say much about yours unless you make (better) daylight pictures.
