I loved Hey Mr Bassman when I was a kid, I'll put in a few novelty records I remember from late 50's early 60's.

Sheb Wooley

David seville

Napoleon XIV

The Playmates

I almost kept going (yes bored tonight) but thought I'd spare all of you.

The Israelites was a big hit here in MA somewhere around 1968, it was one of the the first reggae hits.
The Martian Hop is a great tune, never heard it before sounds, like Jan And Dean a little bit.

Hey Bob,

The Israelites was a big hit on Long Island too. I was pretty young at the time, but I loved the feel of it.
I THINK I paid .69 cents for it.

The Martian Hop has been a favorite as far back as I can remember. We had neighbors that had a HUGE Short Wave antenna in their yard, and they LOOKED like they were from Mars! Every Halloween, I'd plug my stereo headphone jack into my Kustom bass amp and BLAST it at their house! When the ray gun sounds, it was KILLER. Friends said you could hear it for blocks away!

Here's the lyrics.
