Got this book for Christmas and it's a great read. It chronicles Paul's life in depth from his early life up to now. I learned quite a lot about one of my musical inspirations and heroes.
Since I'll never read this again I thought I'd see if we could start a little pay-it-forward with the book. I'll send the book to the first person who PMs me (USA only pls, sorry). The only catch is that once you've read the book, you have to post here and send it to another forum member. I'll write on the inside cover that I read it, and others who receive it should do the same. Let's see how many people can benefit from this!! Anyone game?
Hopefully this one book can make it's way around the world to forum members

I just picked up this book and I've only read a few chapters, but the writing strikes me as a bit more scholarly than most celebrity biographies. Hopefully its an even handed look at Paul's life.

The writer IMO doesn't make this a love fest. He's quite unforgiving with Paulies lesser works. Also says Macca was thinking with his lower (geographically speaking) brain when he hooked up with Heather Mills. Even the usual uninteresting parts of your standard biography he makes interesting. Excellent. (P.S. - Keef's book is one of the best as well!)

Tony M, I've been crazy busy and haven't gotten the book out to you...rest assured, it will go out on Monday. Sorry
Jerry, I totally agree with you regarding the author's views of Paul's post-Beatles work. That is what makes me like this book so much...it's not a love-Paul-fest. I learned quite a bit.

I enjoyed this book quite a bit. The author seemed to have no "agenda' and would praise Paul when he did well (personally and musically), and chastise him when his actions and work weren't up to snuff. In my opinion its a very fair look at the life of Paul.

It was a tough read and more interesting than any other biography. The author just let loose on him. There is always a lot of drama that surrounds Paul.
