which one do I get?
Im a regular gigging guitarist, and want a chime guitar, I cant decide which one to get I play all sort of songs and not just Beatle covers.
Offerd to buy are
360-12 £1900
360-12V64 (early Harrison type)£2500
Both are fireglow,

and are going into a 'janglebox' into a Voxac30vr...
this is a one time buy for me and I want to get the right one! the 360-12 played lovely, and the V64 felt a little different but nice..both look really cool!

also if I get the 360-12 do I change the higain pickups to Toaster??
Im a new person to this forum and would welcome any advice?

Play them both. The sound and feel of one will probably make you go, OH YEAH! While with the other you just say, oh yeah. Get the OH YEAH! one.

Couldn't agree more. The one is simply is not better than the other. They are both wonderful guitars (and both types of PU are great too). They're just 'different' and the perception of difference is very personal. Go with the one that feels, looks, plays and sounds best to YOU. Nothing else matters. Good luck with your choice.

Whaw stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wait a minute there hoss! are you in the UK im presuming you are (because of the pounds sign) I can understand that the V64 is gonna be more expensive due to it being a more rarer guitar but is £1900 for a standard 360/12 FG ? New ?
if it is STOP thats tooo expensive.If it isnt id want a good year and in really good condition.
Sounds affects online have great deals in the UK at the moment.

I disagree on the sound; a Double bound guitar has to sound better; it's the binding. . . .

Get a V64...I have one, love it...

Yeah, as Scotty says, definitely go for the V64.

I've got Rics with both toasters and Hi Gains and all Jangle very nicely indeed with the Janglebox.

The prices you are quoting there are way over the top for these models.
V64's can and have been bought by many of us here in the UK for well under £2K.

360/12's vary wildly in prices from one shop to the next, so be sure to shop around if you're after new. Either way there is no way you should be paying anything like £1900 for one.

If you're after a used 360/12, I have a beautiful 2007 in Jetglo you can have for £1200.

I was shocked the first time I played mine.
I thought my other Rickenbackers played well until I played the V64. And barre chords are a breeze....

Hi Rob, there is no way you need to pay those prices here in the UK. Just keep watching UK eBay for the right deal. Mint V64/12's have sold for around £2000 in the last 12 months and a player will be around £1500 or less on a good day.

A new style 360/12 for £1900 is way way over the top - you should get a mint used one for around £1250 or even less if you strike lucky on the day.
