Do the HB1 pickups have multiple contacts allowing for different wiring options? (series, parallel, split) If so, has anyone here done any experimenting?

Hah, nevermind the first part of my post. (http://www.rickenbacker.com/pdf/19521-HB1%20Wiring.pdf)

Something else I'm wondering... would the humbucker screw into the original bridge pickup base plate without much modification? A crazy idea that I've been turning around in my head (though I may not necessarily end up actually doing it) is installing an HB1 and wiring it up with a series/parallel/split switch. According to the schematic above it looks like these are wired series by default and I'm really curious as to how these pickups sound in other modes. Image

EDIT: my first search didn't reveal anything on this, but after I posted this message I tried different keywords and found the info I needed, heh.

The holes to mount these have been in the base plate for many years now- easy as pie to secure these with two machine screws and nuts. I did this on Paul McCartney's black 5-stringer.

are you saying Sir Paul has a 4003s5 with a Ric hb1 pickup in it ... this is interesting ... and yes a series parallel single switch would be cool ...
