A Rick promo ad from 1965 not highly publicized:
Disclaimer: Yes, I made this up.

I think the 356 need a matching paint job.
Very cool, Mark!

Now THAT would be wild, wouldn't it, Jeff!
I can explain, Paul - I painted MY bass to look just like the one in the ad!
There... that's the ticket.

Thanks for the explanation Mark. I was starting to think there may have been more 'changes' to you over the years than you or the 'shirt compare' picture were letting on...
Agreed - The car being painted to match the Nightmare Bass would be cool!

When I was a kid (back when dinosaurs, etc...) my Dad took a wrong turn and we wound up in Calumet City, IL (far south suburb of Chicago). Wide-open town of bars, gambling joints, and strip clubs with some pretty lurid color marquees.
One of the biggest clubs was the Club Rendezvous. She was appearing there as "Galatea" at the time. On their marquee, she was in full color about 12 feet high.
Mom's hair turned white on that trip. Warped me for life.

Paul,
I grew up in Calumet City, Illinois. Graduated HS there in 1969.
It was widely known as "sin city" back in the day.
Later of course it became the home town of Jake and Elwood Blues.

Yep, she did. Less than a week ago. It's a shame, but it sounds like she definitely had a full, adventurous life. It so happens that Quentin Tarantino is in the middle of doing a 'FASTER...' remake, and had even consulted with TS about the project.

And good one, Tom! But do you think ANYONE in their right mind who once looked like THIS:
would ever alter themselves to look like
THIS?
