Orignal is by Kim Richey but this version is based on Brooks And Dunn arrangement.

I had the good fortune of seeing them play this at the Rams Head Tavern in Annapolis MD in 2004 and getting a copy of the live CD. It blows Brooks & Dunn away and would have made a great comeback single if they had been given the opportunity to put it out.

Roy, that is one sweet sound!!! Love the harmony!! You are great at choosing songs for them! I'm a B&D fan, but as usual, The Searchers version surpasses!
Thanks for posting! How I so wish I could have seen The Searchers instead of The Beatles back in l966.... do you people know how lucky you are to be able to still see them....even if they are in separate "Searchers" :)

It's getting tougher to see them on this side of the pond Cheri. They haven't been back to the Rams Head since 2005. They did play a couple of gigs at the Cutting Room in NY but that club has gone out of business. Apart from that, they've played a handful of casino gigs in Connecticut and a few Canadian shows and that's it. I'm not sure if they are coming over this year or not.

I was lucky enough to see them 4 times (twice with Mike and twice with Spencer) so I guess I should count my blessings...:)

I was lucky enough to see them with Mike on once occasion, at Toronto's Diamond Club, back in 85 I do believe it was. It would have been Mike's last hurrah with the boys I guess.

A year or two later they came back with Spencer. No offence to Spencer but it was a let down. He did a good job but obviously it was different.

Take heart Jeff and Cheri, they disappeared from North America for a bunch of the late 90's / early 2000's before starting to play the Mohegan Sun and Cutting Room.

They'd been absent from Ontario since the early 90's until they played the Niagara Fallsview a few years ago in front of two packed houses (around 1500 each) and then played CasinoRama for about (7000) a year later.

I guess I've been lucky as well.

My honest opinion is that the band shouldn't come over every year. Coming over every other year builds anticipation and hopefully demand.

This is an amazing version. Roy that was a great choice of song for their beautiful voices. I love the harmonies.

A great cover of this fine tune that held my attention for the duration. My wish for them would be that they use these great vocal skills to release original material. I still have my fingers crossed.

I agree. I am sure Roy knows a song writer or two.
