They were great! I came across this excellent NPR article and audio interview with Moby Grape. It answers who, what, when, where, why and how about the band. It also delves into their legal woes. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/stor ... d=17498799

I never knew that much about Moby Grape, I remember Omaha but after reading this I've been checking them out on YouTube and plan on getting at least their first two albums. This band just kind of skipped by me, I remember reading about them in Hit Parader, that was also the magazine where I first heard about the Grateful dead, I thought GD were going to be some really hard rocking band and was disappointed when I first heard them, haha!

I had two copies of their first album with the "bird" poster. One mono and one stereo. I gave away a bunch of old albums and inadvertantly included these and a "Meet the Beatles" in mono. When I realized my mistake, I went to ask for them back, but they were GONE!
