Hi Guys,
Would like to hear some comments/opinions about this nice Ric model that is now officially discontinued. Those who have owned the guitar, who own it now,
its attributes, and drawbacks if any, etc. Also its advantages/disadvantages over the 325's. Also - how hard it was/is for members to go from larger Rics such as the 360/12V64 to the small Lennon style bodies. Any comments about the guitar (or the 325's) would be appreciated....thanks in advance.

I never really had much experience with a 350/12, but I think it was trying to combine John's 325/12 and something that was easier for players. I'm guessing (and no one bite my head off if I'm wrong) that it probably sold in smaller numbers and was discontinued to help clear out the backlog. It was derived from a John Lennon signature model, the 350/12JL. On a side note for a brief time in late 1999/early 2000, the 325/12 was reissued shortly before the Carl Wilson models came out. Fellow forumite Matt Bowling owns one of these.

Our own Bill Mahony briefly toyed with a 350/12 (one I pointed him to), and I'm sure he could give you an idea of what to expect from one.

Its 6-string cousin, the 350V63 has been much more popular.

Advantages over the 325: If you do not feel you'll be comfortable on a 3/4 20 inch neck, but like the standard scale, then that is a pro.
Disadvantages: It does not have the precise Lennon look, and the pickups are spaced further apart. The body is slightly bigger, about as big a 600-series model. it also does not come with a Vibrato unit, instead with a flat tailpiece

I have a 350/12V63 in FG and I like it.

IMO the main difference from a 360/12V64 is that it weighs less and has no soundhole, so it is not as resonant acoustically as the 360. The 350 has less of an "open" sound when played through an amp, so it sounds more like a solidbody 12er.

As the 350 has three PUs, you can do a popular wiring mod to have a separate volume control for each PU. I haven't tried this but some have and seem to like it.

I had the chance to play Graham's 350/12 JL; it was pretty cool! I'd say get buy a 350/12 if you love Ricks, love 12 strings, and like a smaller-bodied guitar.

Its a shame they discontined the 350/12 one of these days id like to get one maybe they will reissue it again fingers crossed.Have you found one ?
