Sorry I'm late :) Here's my "b-day present"... wasn't able to finish it yesterday.

Happy Birthday, Chris!

Nice work, Miguel! It sounds like you've really captured Squire's style & essence in the piece.

Sounds great, Miguel! 8)

I saw the original triple neck Wal when Roger Newell owned it in the mid '70s. :D

I'm really happy that I finally finished this song.
My first idea for the main melody came 2 years ago. I already thought of it as a theme for Chris. When I saw that I could finish it in time for his birthday, I really tried to do it and I almost did it on time :)

As we are on a Rickenbacker forum, I think it's interesting to add that (this time there is no video-clip showing the guitars) not only I used the 4001CS but also my two other Rickenbackers (guitars) can be heard all over the song.

Thank you very much for your really nice comments and interest listening to my songs!

Miguel, once again you have kicked butt here... sound and feel completely there. Love the imagery - some of the smiling with Ric in hand shots are my faves ever - the more current ones - I really like them. You did a great job here. I hope Chris gets to see it. If I were he it would make my day. Thanks so much for sharing it.

Another great job Miguel.

You really do have a gift.

I too love the more recent shots of Chris with his bass.

Great way to start the day!

THANKS! 8)

...and in my USUAL "late the party" timing....a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Chris!

Hope he had a nice quiet day with his family.

What Tony said, Miguel. Very nice feeling and melodies. Layer upon layer. A fitting tribute.

I need it for my iPod!

Miguel,

I am ALWAYS impressed by your work!!!!! Your talent and skill AMAZES me!!!!

Chris Squire is my Bass Hero, and biggest influence on my playing. I have to admit, I'm not even a fraction of the player he is.....but YOU.......You really ARE him!!!!!!!
When I listen to you......I think THAT is what I WISH I could do. You really capture his tone, and spirit!!!

I really like your new piece. I truely hope Squire hears it, AND, I hope to hear A LOT more from YOU!!!!!

Thank you very much for your words! Right now I have a lot to do with my regular job, and I must write a paper too... I have another clip waiting to complete, let's see if i will be able to present it this month.

Thanks to all for commenting :)
