Just curious about thoughts about a case humidifier to protect my C64S and my 12 string ME edition Adamas. I'm not sure if it's necessary or not. I live in North Dakota which is pretty dry. Just trying to protect my investments. They are both stored in their cases when not in use.

If you live in the midwest your house will go from high humitity in the summer to low humidity in the winter ... wood has difficulty in this scenario ...

a humidifier is a good idea for humans as well ... and if you have hardwood floors or wood furniture etc ...

The good news is the Ric finish will protect Ric's to a degree ...

I live in Ohio and seems I'm always tweaking the truss rods of all my basses except my Ricks. They seem to be very stable, must be the double rod design or just superior construction.

My 4003's and 4001's seem to be stable for years ... but my 2030 and 4004L need to be tweaked with seasonal change ...

I have an old 60's acoustic guitar with a zero fret that has been stable for 35 years despite humidity and temperature changes ...

My 1968 4001 had it last truss rod adjustment in 1973 ... and it plays fine ...

Whenever I purchase a 4003 I adjust the truss rod to my preference ... and then I usually leave it ...

Thanks for the insight. I won't worry about it and keep an eye out during seasonal changes.
