I'm lovin me some Gretsch! I had never played one until the day I bought it!! Here are a few pix... Oh, I traded Big Red(maxed out Dot Studio), a VHT SPecial 6 head, and a Les Paul Custom that I got in a trade for a 2x12 DeVille. WOOT!

congrats on the GreTsch. Do you plan on the similar mods that Peter did to his G5120?

Nice, Charley! 8) I used to have a '61 DA, another forumite owns it now.

Thanks guys!

The only mod I may do is a compensated bridge. As it is now, it gets every tone I need! It is a pleasure to pick up and play. Samick Korea has got it DOWN!! I put Chrome 12s on it, may go to 11 next set. Oh, and I always had trouble getting good harmonics on the Dot Studio, with this one it is a breeze!

I will have to go search for Peter's mods, but most seem to upgrade pups, bridge, and tuners, and then there are those that "go for the gold"......

I have a 5120 that I love. The colour of yours is gorgeous -- I've seen a few like that around and always found them beautiful. If I was going to do it over I'd be tempted to buy one of that colour.

Put a Compton bridge in stainless on it-best 40 bucks you'll spend!

There are loads of mods you could do with that guitar. Have you thought about changing the pickups yet? I should change mine really, but I'm not still not sure what kind of sound I want.. hesitate to commit to one thing
