Thanks Roy, This was from the 'British Invasion Tour' in 1986. I saw it at the Circle Star Theatre just south of San Francisco. In my opinion The Searchers were the best by far, that was just after Mike Pender left, and Spencer James was a youngster. Billy Adamson was on drums. Included on that tour were Chad and Jeremy touring with a young California band, and a group who called themselves The Mindbenders, but no Wayne Fontana. They were excellent musicians from Manchester, but I didn't see the connection to the Mindbenders.
I kept the program for many years, and when I finally met Frank, Spencer, and John in Butlins Minehead they kindly signed it. By then Spencer had put on much more weight, and Eddie Rothe was the 'new' drummer. I wish they could all do it again some day and come back to the West Coast !

What a wonderful interview, Roy! Thanks for sharing it! I can't conceive of a life without the music of the 60's.....and particularly the British Invasion as we called it on this side of the big pond. Thank God Brian Epstein brought the Beatles to us so we could have all the other wonderful, beautiful Brit bands follow. I wouldn't have missed living those years for anything.
